1. Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)
One of India’s most ambitious infrastructure initiatives, the DMIC spans across multiple states and is driving the development of several integrated industrial clusters, including:
- Dholera Special Investment Region (Gujarat)
- Shendra–Bidkin Industrial Area (Maharashtra)
- Greater Noida and Dadri (Uttar Pradesh)
- Neemrana–Khushkhera–Bhiwadi (Rajasthan)
- Pithampur–Dhar–Mhow (Madhya Pradesh)
These hubs are equipped with high-capacity infrastructure, logistics connectivity, and smart governance systems.
2. Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC)
Spanning across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, this corridor focuses on:
- Electronics manufacturing and auto hubs in Sriperumbudur, Oragadam, and Hosur
- Aerospace and defense clusters near Bengaluru and Tumakuru
- Logistics and industrial parks in Krishnapatnam and Chittoor regions
The CBIC is supported by central and state governments through strategic land allocation and incentives.
3. Bengaluru–Mumbai Economic Corridor (BMEC)
This emerging corridor supports industrial clusters in:
- Belagavi and Dharwad (Karnataka)
- Satara and Sangli (Maharashtra)
- Food processing and auto components as key target sectors
BMEC is part of a national push to connect western ports to southern manufacturing zones.
4. Amritsar–Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC)
AKIC promotes the industrialization of eastern and northern states, with clusters being developed in:
- Ludhiana and Rajpura (Punjab)
- Begusarai (Bihar) for petrochemicals
- Durgapur and Raghunathpur (West Bengal) for engineering and metal industries
These hubs are supported by rail and freight networks and aim to boost manufacturing, logistics, and agri-processing.
5. State-Specific Industrial Clusters
States have also launched dedicated clusters under their own industrial policies:
- Telangana: Hyderabad Pharma City, Warangal Textile Park, and Electronic Manufacturing Clusters
- Gujarat: Sanand, Mandal Becharaji, and Dholera for EVs, engineering, and aerospace
- Odisha: Kalinganagar (steel and metals) and Jharsuguda (power and alumina)
- Tamil Nadu: Coimbatore, Erode, and Tiruppur clusters for textiles, motors, and auto parts
These clusters benefit from state incentives, plug-and-play infrastructure, and proximity to ports or raw materials.
6. Sector-Specific and Thematic Clusters
Several sector-driven clusters are being established under central schemes like MSE-CDP and PM MITRA:
- Textile Parks in Surat (Gujarat), Lucknow (UP), and Bhilwara (Rajasthan)
- Toy Clusters in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh
- Medical Device Parks in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh
- Food Parks and Mega Food Processing Clusters in Maharashtra, Punjab, and Assam
These are aimed at building sectoral supply chains and export-ready ecosystems.
